SERVICES
PIANO LESSONS
I've been teaching private piano lessons since August of 2013. I've taught people of all ages, and have explored many genres of music with my students, including classical, jazz, rock, metal, country, pop, movie soundtracks, and video game music. Whether you're a beginner or intermediate, whether you read music or not, my goal is to share my knowledge and to help you learn what you want to learn!
I teach in-person lessons, as well as online lessons through "Zoom." I currently have 18 students in the Boone/Vilas/Blowing Rock/Crossnore area. If you'd like to discuss setting up lessons, scroll down on this page to where it says, "Send Andrew a Message."
LIVE PERFORMANCES
I've played at several venues around the Boone and Blowing Rock area. Some of the more well-known bands and artists I like to cover in my live shows include Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Journey, Elton John, Queen, Mozart, Metallica, Billy Joel, Toto, Simon and Garfunkel, Foreigner, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Beethoven, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Styx, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, and Guns-n-Roses. I also play movie themes like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter, as well as video game themes like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda. I'm just as happy providing light background dinner music as I am rockin' the house with some killer classics. PIANO TUNING
I've been tuning pianos since October of 2012. Â The changes in temperature brought on by summer and winter can really do a number on your piano strings. Â If you're playing regularly, I recommend you have them tuned once or twice a year. Â Contact me for more information!
GUITAR / BASS
I've been playing the guitar for about 14 years. I am almost completely self-taught. I took lessons for 1 semester in college from Irvin Kauffman, in which I learned to play in the classical style. My piano background and strong understanding of music theory allowed the guitar to come more easily to me. If you're a beginner and want some lessons, or you need a rhythm/electric/bass guitar player, I'm your man. (In the photo below, I'm the one in the red sweatshirt)
